MyFirstEV helps eligible California residents purchase or lease their first zero-emission vehicle. The combined state and participating-manufacturer incentive provides $3,500 toward a qualifying new EV, applied immediately at the dealership.

You must be a first-time buyer or lessee of a qualifying zero-emission vehicle and complete the required self-attestation.
New vehicles must be model year 2026 or newer and, for Chevrolet, have an MSRP of $50,000 or less.
The vehicle, manufacturer and dealership must participate. Incentives are available only while program funds remain.

The dealership will help verify program availability and complete the required first-time ZEV buyer or lessee documentation.
If approved, the $3,500 combined incentive is applied at the point of sale—there is no post-purchase reimbursement wait.
