How many trims will the 2027 Silverado 1500 have?
The 2027 Silverado 1500 introduces a new seven-trim lineup: Work Truck, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, Silverado (formerly LT), Trail Boss, High Country and ZR2. It's designed to span everything from value-focused work trucks to premium and off-road-ready configurations.
Which 2027 Silverado trims are lifted / off-road models?
Three trims come factory-lifted: the ZR2 (the most off-road-capable Silverado ZR2 ever), the Trail Boss, and the Custom Trail Boss. Chevrolet added the lifted trims in response to strong recent demand.
What's the difference between Trail Boss, Custom Trail Boss and ZR2?
Custom Trail Boss is the entry point to factory off-road style, with a 2-inch lift and 34-inch tires. Trail Boss steps up with 34-inch mud-terrain tires, a 2-inch factory lift, a dedicated off-road hood and unique interior themes. ZR2 is the off-road flagship - 35-inch mud-terrain tires, a 2-inch lift, standard front and rear electronic locking differentials, and race-proven Multimatic DSSV dampers.
What is the 2027 Silverado High Country?
High Country is the flagship of the lineup, pairing full-size capability with luxury-grade refinement. It adds a new High Country badge, standard 22-inch After Midnight machine-faced wheels, an exclusive Tritan Satin grille, a Silverado-first panoramic sunroof, real wood décor, and available microfiber suede materials, with light and dark interior themes.
Is there a work truck / fleet version?
Yes. The Work Truck trim is purpose-built for fleet and commercial operators, engineered around durability, serviceability and uptime, with configurations optimized for common upfits and easy-to-clean interiors.
Engines & Capability
What engines will the 2027 Silverado 1500 offer?
Chevrolet will continue to offer four powertrain options: next-generation 5.7L and 6.6L V8 engines, an enhanced 2.7L TurboMax four-cylinder (now paired with a 10-speed transmission and delivering best-in-class standard torque), and the segment-exclusive Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel.
Is the 2027 Silverado really the most powerful ever?
Chevrolet calls it the most powerful Silverado ever and says it offers the most powerful naturally-aspirated V8 in its class. Exact horsepower and torque figures will be confirmed by Chevrolet closer to launch.
How much can the 2027 Silverado 1500 tow?
Chevrolet has not yet published official 2027 towing and payload ratings. We'll post the confirmed numbers here as soon as Chevrolet releases them - in the meantime, see our towing accessories.
Where is the 2027 Silverado 1500 built?
It will be built at GM's full-size truck assembly facilities in North America, and its next-generation V8 engines are assembled by GM teams at the Flint, Tonawanda and St. Catharines propulsion plants.

The 2027 Silverado 1500 gets an all-new exterior with a bolder stance and stronger front fascia, new LED headlights and taillights, more pronounced wheel-opening moldings and rocker treatments, and standard dual exhaust on Custom and above.
What technology and interior features does it have?

ZR2 and High Country add a standard 11.5-inch front passenger screen plus a head-up display and rear camera mirror - over 60 inches of digital displays. Available features include dual wireless charging and a reconfigurable Multi-Flex center console.
